The Role
\ N
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Regional SEND Coordinator to lead our Post 16 Outreach Service across Oxfordshire.
\ N
This is a key operationalleadership role responsible for overseeing learner placements, managing staff, coordinating referrals, maintaining quality standards and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of provision for young people with complex needs.

You will work closely with families, commissioners and partner agencies to ensure learners receive high-quality support and opportunities to progress towards greater independence and positive destinations.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership

- Oversee day-to-day delivery of Post 16 Outreach and Education Hub provision.
- Coordinate staffing, timetables and caseload allocation.
- Monitor service capacity and manage operational challenges.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all placements.

- Line manage regional delivery staff.
- Conduct supervision, support performance management and staff development.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and retention activities.

- Ensure compliancewith safeguarding, attendance, reporting and organisational requirements.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and monitor service standards.

Safeguarding & Risk Management

- Act as the first point of escalation for safeguarding and welfare concerns.
- Support staff with complex cases and risk management.
- Work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
- Ensure risk assessmentsand safety plans remain up to date.

- Review referrals and assess suitability for provision.
- Coordinate learner onboarding and placement arrangements.
- Liaise with Local Authorities, schools and commissioners.

- Represent the organisation at professional meetings, reviews and multi-agency discussions.

Person SpecificationEssential
\ N

- Experience working within SEND, SEMH, alternative provision, outreach education or a similar environment.
- Experience leading or managing staff.
- Strong understanding ofsafeguarding and risk management.
- Experience coordinatingcomplex caseloads or service delivery.
- Excellent organisational, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions and work independently.
- Full UK driving licenceand access to a vehicle.
