Your new role
\ N Reporting directly to the business owner, you will take responsibility for the finance function and help ensure the wider business processes run efficiently will manage the P&L and balance sheet, produce monthly management accounts and oversee purchasing, suppliers, stock, payments and financial controls. You will also have responsibility for managing and supporting the existing team. A key part of the role will be reviewing existing processes and identifying ways to simplify, automate and improve them through modern technology and AI. You will also act as a key point of contact for external accountants and HMRC and oversee relevant packaging and regulatory compliance requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
\ N You will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience, with strong hands-on financial management experience. You will be confident managing a P&L and balance sheet and comfortable getting involved in the day-to-day detail when required. You will have previous team management experience, strong organisational skills and a practical approach to improving processes. An interest in technology, systems and AI-driven automation is important, while previous experience within an importing or product-based business would be advantageous.
