Your new role
\ N
This interim Financial Controller position will take responsibility for the smooth running of the UK finance function. Reporting to a senior finance leader, you will manage and support a small finance team while providing robust financial insight to operational and regional stakeholders.
\ N You will lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, variance analysis, forecasts and budgets, alongside balance sheet reconciliations and cash-flow management. You will also oversee statutory and corporate reporting, VAT and other formal returns, payroll supervision, audit support, insurance renewals and stock-control activities.
\ N A key part of the role willbe partnering with senior leadership to support annual revenue, operating expenditure, EBITDA and net working-capital targets. You will continually improve reporting, systems and financial processes, ensuring the function remains accurate, responsive and well controlled.
What you'll need to succeed
\ N
You will be a qualified accountant with an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification and a strong background in financial control, management reporting and the practical application of accounting principles. Proven line-management experience and the confidence to lead a small finance team is needed.
\ N Strong analytical, communication and business-partnering skills will be essential. You should be comfortable managing competing priorities and deadlines while taking a proactive, accountable approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
\ N A high level of proficiencyin Excel and PowerPoint is expected and experience using OneStream and AX or comparable management-reporting systems will be valuable, while knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is desirable.
