Your purpose As the Head Chef of Home House, you will lead and inspire the kitchen team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences, ensure high standards of food quality, presentation and kitchen efficiency, while driving creativity and consistency across all dishes. Reporting to the General Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Ensuring all Kitchens are managed effectively and safely at all times, including the highest levels of control regarding cleanliness, food hygiene, HACCP, stock management and mise en place levels. Produce high quality, on-trend and seasonal menus with maintainable margins. Source the best ingredients using nominated suppliers and in line with budget. Ensure the team produces dishes on time and to the expected standard. Work closely with other Heads of Department to ensure standards in the House are maintained. Ensure a high level of communication ensuring all information is passed on to the team. Manage the team whilst promoting a professional image with a caring and helpful attitude to ensure consistent and continual high service standards. Recruit and select excellent team members, ensuring your staff turnover remains in line with Company Key Performance Indicators. Develop your team and hold appraisals on OpenBlend at least once per quarter. Liaise with the Human Resources team regarding any employee relations issues, in order to ensure compliance with Company policies and employment legislation. Develop and communicate a departmental action plan in order to deliver continual improvements, increased revenue and profit. Identify ideas and resources that will enable the achievement and surpassing of financial targets. Have overall responsibility for the operational costs and profitability of the department in order to ensure that revenue and profitability is achieved. Effectively manage departmental payroll in accordance with the budget. Manage our people systems and ensure rotas are kept up to date according to business levels. Ensure accurate financial reporting, including revenue and forecast management. Accurately administer Kitchen CUT.
