Hays Senior Finance has been retained to recruit a Finance Director role for an established company connected to the transport, warehousing and logistics sector. This multi-site, profitable company has a 60-year history and a recognisable name in the sector. Due to impending retirement, the company is looking to appoint a qualified Finance Director with relevant sector experience to help the other Directors to continue growing the company.

\n As Finance Director you will lead the finance team six across multiple locations. You will look for efficiencies, process improvement and automation where possible, and upskill the existing team. There is the opportunity to review the existing accounts package as well as introducing MI reporting with PowerBI etc. As a qualified accountant you will have a proven background as a No1 in finance, ensuring that all statutory obligations are met in a timely manner but also have considerable commercial experience with partnering senior operational staff. You will need to be present in the business and fully understand the different aspects of what the company does. We are therefore ONLY interested in speaking to candidates who have a background in related industries such as distribution, warehousing, road haulage, shipping, etc.
\ N In return, you will be offered a salary of £100,000 - £120,000, bonus, full private medical package, 25 days annual leave (+ bank holidays), matched pension contribution of up to 8% and free on-site parking. You will need to be located close to Chester with a driving licence and not require visa sponsorship. We can only progress applicants that closely meet the requirements of this role.
