Salary: Up to £19.65 per hour
Job Overview:
- Regular roster of 3 on 3 off shift pattern, Start Time between 9am and 3pm and finishing between 6pm and midnight
- Overtime rate of 1.5
- Free onsite parking

What will life as a HGV 2 Driver Nights in the Gategroup Team look like for you:
- £19.65 per hour
- Overtime @ 1.5 times the hourly rate
- 4 on 4 off 00:00-12:00
- Inhouse training and development

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Driving HGV 15 - 18 tonne company liveried vehicles in a secure & controlled environment
- Carrying out vehicle checks prior to use
- Loading and unloading catering uplifts to aircraft
- Liaison with flight crew and working in collaboration with other ground handling suppliers
- Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicle
- Adhering to all Road Traffic Acts and additional Airport By-laws
- Additional duties such as Bar and stores packing or search and sealing will be a daily requirement along with any associated paperwork
- Plus any additional warehouse duties
Requirements of the HGV Driver Days:
- Valid clean HGV CAT C Driving Licence (up to 3 points will be considered)
- Digital Tachograph knowledge and possession of a digital tachograph card
- Driver CPC qualification essential
- Previous HGV experience desirable, Airport Airside Driving would be an advantage
- Knowledge of the Road Traffic Act
- Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable but not essential
- You must be able to work shifts and be keen to learn
In addition to job-related training, you will develop your skills in teamwork, time management, multi-tasking, communication and attention to detail.
All applicants must have the right to work in the UK, undertake a CRC (Criminal Record Check) and provide 5 years of checkable referencing history. For anytime spent outside the UK exceeding 6 months, you must be able to provide a CRC (Criminal Record Check) for that country.
