At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Security Checker - Aircraft Catering to work with a leading provider of in-flight catering and logistics services in Glasgow. Join the team as the 'last set of expert eyes' before take-off. In this critical role, you will act as the final guardian of flight safety, ensuring the integrity of all In-Flight Supplies (IFS) and verifying that every meal cart and supply container is thoroughly inspected and free of prohibited articles before entering the aircraft.
Shift patterns:
- 5-day rotational shift pattern (over 7 days).
- Primarily covering Night Shift (22:00-06:00).
- Rosters are provided in advance with weekend duties rotating.
- Shifts are subject to change based on business operational needs.
Pay rates:
£14.55 hourly
Must-have requirements:
- Ability to provide a full, checkable 5-year employment/education history within the UK.
- A valid, clear Basic DBS check (provided during the process).
- Valid right-to-work documentation (Passport/ID).
- Successful completion of GSAT and AVSEC (In-Flight Supplies) training (provided by us).
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and manually inspect or move meal carts.
Desirable requirements:
- Previous experience in a security-regulated environment or warehouse setting.
- Prior understanding of DfT regulations, airport operations, and aviation security processes.
- Experience with delivery manifests or stock control.
- An 'eagle eye' for spotting tampering or unauthorized items.
