We are currently recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance FLT Operative to join our busy warehouse team at DHL Supply Chain Tradeteam, supporting the Molson Coors Beverage Company National Distribution Centre (NDC) in Burton upon Trent, DE14 2WT. This is a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment, where the team plays a key role in storing, handling, and distributing beverages to customers across the UK.
As a Counterbalance FLT Operative, you will be responsible for the safe movement of stock throughout the warehouse, loading and unloading vehicles, replenishing picking locations, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the distribution centre.
Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday 22:00-06:00
Contract: 48 hrs + therefore 12 hrs shift apply on daily basis (18:00-06:00)
Pay rates:
- Standard: £14.45 per hour
- Overtime: £19.91 per hour
Duties Include:
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures at all times
- Work safely and in line with site Health & Safety standards, including safe FLT operation, pedestrian awareness, speed limits, PPE compliance, and reporting hazards or unsafe behaviour immediately
- Operate FLT equipment safely and efficiently
- Use forklift trucks to move, stack, load and unload goods accurately within the warehouse environment
- Meet productivity and operational targets
- Work efficiently to achieve daily warehouse KPIs, loading targets and operational deadlines while maintaining accuracy and safety standards.
- Maintain warehouse accuracy and housekeeping standards
- Ensure stock is stored correctly, locations are accurate, and work areas remain clean and organised.
- Support warehouse operations and teamwork
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve operational targets and maintain service levels
Requirements:
- Valid Counterbalance / Reach Truck licence required, CB double handler would be beneficial
- Previous warehouse experience essential
- A large amount of MHE experience is necessary due to operational requirements within the department
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good attention to detail and safety awareness
