Transport Planner - Anwick

At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Transport Planner to work with a leading food production company in Anwick.

This role is responsible for the timely planning of transport requirements to ensure the team meets agriculture plans, logistics service levels, and cost performance targets.

Shift Patterns

  • 6:00am - 6:00pm, 4 days on / 4 days off

Pay Rates

  • 2666.67 GBP monthly

Essential Requirements for Transport Planner

  • 2 years+ transport experience in a fast-paced multi-site Own account or 3PL Logistics operation.
  • Strong analytical skills, and attention to detail with good knowledge of geographical locations of customer depot.
  • Internal and External Customer facing experience, able to react quickly and calmly in delivering practical solutions to operational issues.
  • Experienced in the use of IT applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent personal time management and able to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Desirable Requirements for Transport Planner

  • Knowledge of legislation around transporting live animals and agricultural product.
  • Experience in use of automated routing and scheduling systems.
  • Experience in use of and interrogation of Microlise vehicle Telematics systems and associated data.
  • Drivers hours Tachograph knowledge.
  • A solid grasp of H&S / Environmental legislation in a highly demanding manufacturing transport function.
