Requirements:

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Head Chef to oversee the day-to-day management of our Oyster Bar Kitchen Team, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and service.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking and presentation
  • Supervising, mentoring and training the Kitchen Team, ensuring they adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Overseeing inventory management, including stock ordering and rotation
  • Managing cost control measures to optimise profitability
  • Planning staff rotas to ensure efficient staffing levels
  • Monitoring food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and standards

The successful applicant needs to have proven leadership skills, with experience supervising and motivating a diverse team in a fast-paced kitchen environment, whilst maintaining attention to detail. They should have excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating new dishes, together with experience working with fish and seafood. A knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices, strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively, plus great communication skills to support teamwork between the Kitchen and Front of House staff is essential.

Shift: Between Monday to Sunday

Contract Hours: Full time hours (40 hours)
