Job&Talent are recruiting for an experienced Welder Fabricator to perform operational tasks within the assigned area of the business, to undertake and assist in any training or improvement activities as required. To continually develop product and process knowledge while accepting responsibility for their activities and working areas.

Duties:

  • Perform welding tasks using different techniques such as MIG, TIG, and ARC welding to join metal components according to project specifications.
  • Fabricate metal components and structures based on engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy and precision in measurements and assembly.
  • Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and cutting using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Inspect welded joints and fabricated components to ensure they meet quality standards and project requirements.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, performing regular inspections, and troubleshooting issues as necessary.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, fabricators, and supervisors, to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to welding and fabrication processes, proposing effective solutions to ensure project continuity.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including project details, material usage, and time spent, to facilitate project tracking and reporting.
  • Stay updated on advancements in welding technologies and techniques, participating in training programs and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Additional vocational training or certification in welding and fabrication is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a welder fabricator in a similar role, with demonstrated expertise in welding techniques and fabrication processes.
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity are essential.
  • Able to read and write clear, readable schematics for the manufactured product through effective utilization of schematic tools.
  • Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • MIG welding: 3 years (preferred)
  • Fabrication: 3 years (preferred)

Working Hours: The shift pattern will be Monday to Friday - 7:00 - 16:30
