Job&Talent are recruiting for an experienced Welder Fabricator to perform operational tasks within the assigned area of the business, to undertake and assist in any training or improvement activities as required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform welding tasks using different techniques such as MIG, TIG, and ARC welding to join metal components according to project specifications.
  • Fabricate metal components and structures based on engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy and precision in measurements and assembly.
  • Inspect welded joints and fabricated components to ensure they meet quality standards and project requirements.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, performing regular inspections, and troubleshooting issues as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, fabricators, and supervisors, to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to welding and fabrication processes, proposing effective solutions to ensure project continuity.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including project details, material usage, and time spent, to facilitate project tracking and reporting.
  • Stay updated on advancements in welding technologies and techniques, participating in training programs and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Additional vocational training or certification in welding and fabrication is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a welder fabricator in a similar role, with demonstrated expertise in welding techniques and fabrication processes.
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity are essential.
  • Able to read and write clear, readable schematics for the manufactured product through effective utilization of schematic tools.
  • MIG welding: Fabrication: 3 years (preferred).

The shift pattern will be Monday to Friday - 7:00 - 16:30. This role requires a long-term commitment and is not suitable for candidates seeking short-term or temporary work. There is the potential for the role to become permanent, with opportunities to progress.
