Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day management of You Tube channels including scheduling, optimisation and feed strategy.
- Ensure a consistent, high-performing publishing cadence that aligns with audience behaviour and platform best practice.
- Become the internal expert on the channel's audience and competitive category.
- Monitor what is performing in the space, surface trends, and share findings with the team.
- Analyse and monitor You Tube channel performance.
- Identify what is working and what needs changing.
- Regularly report insights and recommendations back to the wider team.
- Bring a commercial mindset towards You Tube, including but not limited to Adsense, sponsorship and integrated work.
- Work closely with editorial, production and social teams to shape and activate a clear You Tube strategy.
- Manage the day-to-day output of the team and quality control across the portfolio for senior roles.
Requirements
- Prior experience managing and scaling high-performing You Tube channels, with a strong focus on You Tube platform.
- A deep understanding and a genuine passion for You Tube, including what drives performance, monetisation and algorithms.
- Experience using data to inform content decisions, with the ability to translate analytics into actionable strategy.
- Commercial mindset, with experience optimising content for platform revenue as well as reach.
- For senior level roles, previous experience managing a team.
- An entrepreneurial, test-and-learn mentality, with a desire to build, iterate and improve systems and processes.
