- Respond to unforeseen events across the shifts in a timely and professional manner, minimising any negative impact by effectively utilising available resources
- Investigate customer complaints relating to driving standards and address them in line with HR policies and procedures
- Conduct gate checks as required
- Support people management processes, including return‑to‑work meetings, welfare meetings, flexible working requests, investigations, and other employee relations tasks
- Use Tachomaster and DCRS to manage driver infringements, and liaise with Driver Trainers to agree outcomes
- Use Microlise Admin and reporting tools to monitor driver performance, update trackers, and action findings as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a transport or complex logistics environment is essential
- Proven experience in supervising, mentoring, or leading a team of drivers and staff
- Thorough understanding of EU Drivers’ Hours, Working Time Directive (WTD), and transport legislation
- Competence in using Transport Management Systems (TMS), tracking software, and MS Office (especially Excel)
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy for reporting, compliance, and auditing
- Capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving, time-critical environment
