- Develop, champion and drive implementation of complex policies and electricity code changes affecting the Connections Team
- Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including Transmission Owners and Ofgem
- Understand challenges and drive changes to policies, codes and legislation
- Lead and advise on a varied portfolio of policy and code initiatives
- Ensure initiatives meet connections reform methodologies and the designed gated process
- Identify and develop policy changes needed to facilitate Connections Reform and CP30
- Engage with the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, Ofgem, Transmission Owners, Distribution Network Operators, generators and customers
- Lead strategic policy changes and support their implementation
- Collaborate with stakeholder groups, subject matter experts and industry participants on code and policy changes
- Present and explain information and proposals clearly and concisely
- Identify policy gaps and lead actions to resolve them
- Develop robust and compelling approaches for internal and external stakeholders, including senior managers
