- Drive development and execution of business analytics for the Established Products team
- Develop business cases, portfolio metrics analyses, portfolio review processes and modelling, including profitability and ROI analyses
- Own Established Products portfolio data and reporting needs
- Develop analyses and insights supporting the Commercial team and Marketing strategies
- Conduct secondary analyses to pressure-test assumptions, including analogue and benchmark analyses
- Partner with the Global Strategy Marketing team to understand strategic questions and develop analytical approaches
- Lead inputs and assumptions for Latest Estimate and Long Range Plan forecasting
- Work with local teams to understand trends and drivers and consolidate portfolio forecasts at regional level
- Collaborate with Therapy Area integrated insights teams to recommend Long Range Plan assumptions
- Develop and maintain forecasting models for the Established Products portfolio
- Prepare insights, analyses and presentation materials summarizing forecast implications and recommendations
- Lead selected global market research projects, including business case assumptions testing and future landscape studies
Requirements
- Educated to degree level or above
- Extensive experience of forecasting and analytics in the pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in specialty markets and in-depth knowledge of sales and marketing organizations and pharmaceutical data sources, e.g. IQVIA
- Experience in one or more of Gilead's core markets of hospital-based anti-fungals, liver diseases, inflammation, oncology/haematology and HIV preferred
- Capable of building analytical models to evaluate business situations and provide recommendations
- Ability to assume full responsibility for accuracy and reliability of complex analyses
- Strong project management skills, including planning, prioritization, organizational ability, objective setting, meeting management and plan execution
- Able to prioritize and utilize limited resources to manage multiple and/or conflicting requests, peak workload periods and ad hoc requests
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization
- Potential leadership skills with ability to set a vision, exercise sound business judgment, and demonstrate decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate technical information to non-technical senior management
- High attention to detail with ability to understand the 'big picture'
- Proactive, self-starter with ability to learn quickly
- Knowledge of MS Excel and business intelligence systems and tools, e.g. MicroStrategy and Tableau
- Knowledge of and experience in forecast modelling techniques and applying them to business problems
- Experience developing forecasts for similar products or therapeutic areas preferred
