  • Support small to medium-sized projects using expertise in the end-to-end grants process to continually improve processes
  • Ensure up-to-date Operating Procedures, Business Rules, process maps, and training documents support and communicate process improvements
  • Assist with facilitating workshops and training
  • Provide proactive administrative support for senior meetings, including minute writing
  • Support financial issues arising from the Grants Pay Run
  • Work with UKSBS to create and update the Grants Pay Run Calendar on the Grants Finance System (GFS)
  • Support accurate reporting on scheduled dates by liaising with UKRI Funding Service Senior Managers and the wider Management Team
  • Develop and deliver ad hoc reports within agreed timescales
  • Use data to identify cross-functional issues and opportunities to improve UKRI performance
  • Produce management information contributing to continuous process, procedure, and control improvements
  • Act as an escalation point for internal process queries relating to the Grants environment

Requirements

  • GCSE level or above/relevant experience
  • Good understanding of the end-to-end Grants process
  • Proven technical skills across a range of systems including Microsoft software packages and grants processing systems
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to extract data from a wide range of systems and provide data analysis
  • Experience of stakeholder engagement at all levels and maintaining strong relationships
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, including ability to interpret and present information to a wide range of audiences with clear and concise messaging
  • Good knowledge of delivering a customer-focused service operation
  • Experience of providing project management support for small to medium projects
  • Baseline Personnel Security Screening (BPSS) is a pre-condition of employment
  • Ability to work in the UK; sponsorship may be required and associated application costs must initially be paid by the applicant
