  • Deliver projects within the Building Structures team
  • Apply and develop engineering knowledge across structural projects
  • Support project delivery from concept through detailed design and construction
  • Contribute to practical, innovative and sustainable design solutions
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders and contractors
  • Assist in delivering projects within programme and budget requirements
  • Prepare technical calculations, reports and design outputs
  • Attend site visits and design team meetings as required
  • Progress towards chartership with structured training, mentoring and professional development
  • Contribute across feasibility, optioneering, technical review, detailed design, construction support, site inspection and completion
  • Deliver projects spanning sectors including aviation, public-sector redevelopment, education, healthcare, housing, retrofit, energy, utilities, rail, transport, emergency services, industrial and defence-related work

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent qualification
  • Graduate or Incorporated member of IStructE, ICE or another relevant professional body, or working towards membership
  • Commitment to chartered status
  • Experience designing building structures in steel, concrete, timber and masonry
  • Developing Eurocode knowledge
  • Familiarity with structural analysis and design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Robot, Tedds or similar
  • Revit experience desirable
  • Willingness to learn new tools and technologies
  • Interest in digital engineering, automation, embodied carbon and sustainable design
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate, ask questions, take initiative and seek guidance when needed
  • Flexible approach, with interest in design, inspection, refurbishment and technical advisory work
  • Curious mindset and enthusiasm for collaboration and learning
  • Willingness to travel across offices and project sites when required
  • Role may require security clearance
  • Security clearance may require proof of residency in the UK for 5 years or longer
