- Deliver projects within the Building Structures team
- Apply and develop engineering knowledge across structural projects
- Support project delivery from concept through detailed design and construction
- Contribute to practical, innovative and sustainable design solutions
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Engage with clients, stakeholders and contractors
- Assist in delivering projects within programme and budget requirements
- Prepare technical calculations, reports and design outputs
- Attend site visits and design team meetings as required
- Progress towards chartership with structured training, mentoring and professional development
- Contribute across feasibility, optioneering, technical review, detailed design, construction support, site inspection and completion
- Deliver projects spanning sectors including aviation, public-sector redevelopment, education, healthcare, housing, retrofit, energy, utilities, rail, transport, emergency services, industrial and defence-related work
Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent qualification
- Graduate or Incorporated member of IStructE, ICE or another relevant professional body, or working towards membership
- Commitment to chartered status
- Experience designing building structures in steel, concrete, timber and masonry
- Developing Eurocode knowledge
- Familiarity with structural analysis and design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Robot, Tedds or similar
- Revit experience desirable
- Willingness to learn new tools and technologies
- Interest in digital engineering, automation, embodied carbon and sustainable design
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate, ask questions, take initiative and seek guidance when needed
- Flexible approach, with interest in design, inspection, refurbishment and technical advisory work
- Curious mindset and enthusiasm for collaboration and learning
- Willingness to travel across offices and project sites when required
- Role may require security clearance
- Security clearance may require proof of residency in the UK for 5 years or longer
