The predicted salary is between 50000 - 65000 Β£ per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrating with and supporting a team of design engineers who undertake electrical design work within a rail environment.
- Undertaking the production of E&P design, working as part of a dedicated M&E design engineering team.
- Undertaking active collaboration in site surveys and collating information from surveys, records or other sources (e.g. eB).
- Preparation of design specifications complying with company and Network Rail, British and European Standards.
- Preparation of design deliverable packages for professional submission including drawings, calculations and reports.
- Preparation of design drawings using MicroStation CAD.
- Coordination and communication with other design/construction disciplines and manufacturers.
- Safety and technical assurance including participation in hazard workshops and risk assessments.
Requirements
- Experience in designing E&P/M&E schemes in line with their own competency.
- HNC/HND/Degree qualification in Electrical/Electronic/Power engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience in Rail, Electrical and Power, Energy, Lighting, Electrical Engineering, Signalling power supply design, Points Heating design, Power supply systems, Project Engineering, LV Engineering etc.
- A working knowledge of relevant British standards/ BS7671 / 18th Edition wiring regulations/Railway Group standards/Network Rail standards.
- Member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET).
- A full working knowledge of MicroStation 3D/Hevacomp/Amtech/DIALux/ETAP and all relevant software packages is advantageous.
- City & Guilds training completed for 18th Edition of IET Wiring Regulations is advantageous.
- An awareness of Safety, Health, Environment & Assurance requirements.
