Responsibilities
- Oversee large-scale underwriting transformation programmes from strategy through execution.
- Define best practice frameworks for specialty and commercial lines underwriting journeys, operating models and product governance.
- Lead delivery of client engagements focused on underwriting process improvement, product model design, underwriting workbenches and core policy administration platforms.
- Manage teams working on business analysis, process mapping, system implementation, and product definition.
- Collaborate with underwriting, product, and operations stakeholders across mid-market and specialty lines.
- Translate business objectives into target operating models, system workflows, and data requirements.
- Lead proposals, pursuit activity, and development of thought leadership on underwriting modernisation.
- Build and manage senior client relationships across underwriting, operations, and technology.
- Develop new business, shape PwC’s go-to-market proposition for underwriting, and contribute to practice growth.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in underwriting transformation consulting, ideally with London Market or global commercial carriers.
- Deep understanding of underwriting workflows, product structures, pricing logic, and regulatory considerations.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale operating model or technology implementations (e.g. underwriting workbenches, core platforms (e.g. Guidewire) and agentic orchestration).
- Strong commercial acumen, business development skills, and existing network within the insurance market.
- Thought leadership in underwriting innovation, product architecture, or digital transformation.
