- Provide financial analysis and modelling for a broad range of client projects
- Advise on property, regeneration, investment, green finance and funding projects
- Support strategic decision-making on property and housing development, regeneration schemes, asset strategy and investment, procurement and delivery partnerships
- Carry out development appraisals for property projects
- Advise clients on project impacts and make strategy recommendations
- Develop business plans, HMT Green Book business cases and options appraisals
- Develop strategies for securing investment through public-private partnerships, joint ventures and trading companies
- Support wider projects and teams with specialist analysis and modelling expertise
- Design and complete data analysis and communicate key insights
- Clarify scope, plan and drive defined workstreams, delegate tasks, meet deadlines and flag risks
- Present work and findings to stakeholders as part of project teams
- Draft business development materials including case studies, blogs, tender responses and proposals
- Contribute to commercial management involving invoicing, margins, budgets and frameworks
- Develop client relationships and influence stakeholders at project level
- Contribute to company culture, internal initiatives and knowledge-sharing
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in consulting or a similar client-facing role
- Advanced Excel skills, ideally with experience of financial modelling
- Understanding of accounting principles
- Experience in analysing data
- Ability to work flexibly to deadlines and contribute successfully to several projects simultaneously
- Growth mindset, regularly seeking feedback and continuous self-improvement
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and navigate complex or unclear issues
- Ability to think analytically, systematically and logically, breaking down complex information
- Active contribution to company culture, role-modelling values and engaging with internal initiatives and knowledge-sharing
- Relevant qualification such as CIPFA, ACA, CFA or MRICS is advantageous
- Ability to build excellent client relationships and work collaboratively within a team
- Passion for social impact and working with the public sector
