Responsibilities Meet or exceed the Firm’s expectations for accurately recording your chargeable and non-chargeable hours, monitoring ongoing progress against them to help maximise performance or address potential shortfalls.
Take the lead on complex projects and work as a team to optimise revenue and profit by implementing best practice matter management and service delivery.
Effectively delegate to and provide supervision to more junior members of the team as required, ensuring work is conducted at the appropriate level.
Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and high performance across the team.
Work in a collegiate and collaborative way within an immediate Team and wider Firm environment.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to generate new work and retain existing clients.
Lead on marketing initiatives, networking, and thought leadership to raise the Firm’s profile.
Contribute to strategic growth by identifying new markets, service lines, or opportunities.
Communicate promptly and effectively both internally to colleagues and externally to clients.

Requirements The ideal candidate will have relevant experience working on corporate or education M ability to demonstrate generation of new revenue streams and be able to promote the firm and cross-sell other specialisms internally and externally.
Typical business development opportunities would include, but are not limited to: attending seminars and networking events, presenting workshops to the firm’s client and being involved in pitches/tenders.
Candidates should be well-organised, technically proficient and a leader.
Have excellent communication skills, addressing any potentially difficult conversations promptly and with skill.
Proven experience in independently managing projects and cross-team working, demonstrating strong organisational skills and good financial hygiene (e. g. accurate time recording, billing discipline, and cost awareness).
Experience in Education and Charity Law would be advantageous.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and confidence to challenge constructively and offer alternative approaches.
Solutions focused approach with drive to improve processes and outcomes.
Strong organisation skills, taking full ownership of tasks and ensuring delivery within agreed deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas and influence decision-making effectively.
