  • Collaborate with authorities and payment systems participants on key issues for the National Payments Vision
  • Contribute to the PSR’s approach to new and developing payment systems
  • Build a deep understanding of payment systems, emerging models, operating environments, business strategies and governance arrangements
  • Contribute to regulatory assessments and improved outcomes for payment-system users
  • Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and relevant teams
  • Promote collaboration, inclusion and learning within the Supervision team
  • Act as a role model for PSR values and behaviours
  • Support the PSR’s contribution to the National Payments Vision and the future oversight of payment systems

Requirements

  • Experience in a regulatory, supervisory, monitoring, compliance, policy or similar environment
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships and contributing to regulatory, policy or compliance-related outcomes
  • Experience analysing complex information and making recommendations through written reports, briefings, policy papers, assessments or similar outputs
  • Understanding of payment systems and/or the broader payments landscape
  • Experience leading or taking ownership of complex projects, workstreams or policy initiatives
  • Skill in working with internal and external stakeholders, building partnerships and negotiating toward strategic goals
  • Ability to resolve complex strategic or operational problems
  • Knowledge of economic regulation, competition and/or payments
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound judgement and decision-making capability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results
  • Effective project management skills
  • Ability to work in the office a minimum of 50% of working time each month
