- Provide commercially focused advice and negotiation strategies
- Manage technical due diligence commissions across commercial property sectors
- Produce high-quality reports and clear risk-based recommendations
- Act as a trusted adviser to key clients and identify wider service opportunities
- Drive business development through networking, referrals, and market engagement
- Manage project financial performance, fee proposals, resource planning, budgets, and profitability
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior surveyors
- Collaborate across Building Surveying, Project Management, Cost Management, Building Safety & Fire, and other service lines
- Monitor market trends, legislation, and industry best practice
- Support recruitment, succession planning, and team development
- Contribute to regional and national business planning
Requirements
- MRICS
- Specialism for professional building surveying work
- Extensive experience and interest in dilapidations and technical due diligence (TDD) instructions
- Experience successfully managing complex dilapidation claims and negotiations
- Strong commercial real estate sector knowledge, including offices, retail, industrial, and leisure
- Experience managing and mentoring a team, supporting professional growth and development including the APC pathway
- Comfortable engaging with clients and building relationships with new and existing clients
- Confidence with business development and winning new work
- Commercially minded and technically strong
