  • Support the accurate administration of monthly UK payroll on time and in compliance with UK tax regulations and employment law
  • Update and maintain information within HR and payroll software solutions
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records in compliance with HMRC and company requirements
  • Act as first point of contact for payroll and employee benefits queries
  • Escalate queries appropriately where required
  • Support administration of workplace pension schemes and ensure compliance with The Pensions Regulator
  • Support administration of employee benefits including pensions, private medical insurance, life assurance, income protection, and salary sacrifice schemes
  • Support month-end and year-end processes
  • Respond promptly to general HR queries through various inboxes
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and company policies
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Demonstrate commitment to workplace health and safety, report hazards and incidents, and participate in required training

Requirements

  • Working towards or a desire to complete CIPD or CIPP Level 3 is desirable but not essential
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and numerical skills, confident in working with data
  • Proactive, approachable, confident with good interpersonal skills enabling you to speak to and deal with all stakeholders
  • Confident user of Excel
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Able to manage sensitive information whilst maintaining a high level of confidentiality
  • Basic knowledge of UK payroll legislation, HMRC requirements and pension auto enrolment is desirable
  • Experience using payroll and/or HR systems is desirable
  • Must be a British Citizen or have an existing right to work in the UK
  • Ability to commit to occasional national and international travel
  • A full valid UK driving license
  • Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UK
  • Must achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard at minimum
  • Permission to work in the UK by the start of employment; proof of identity and eligibility required
