  • Provide comprehensive generalist HR support and advice to line managers and employees across the site
  • Report directly to the Regional HR Manager
  • Partner with operational leaders to deliver effective people management solutions
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently
  • Provide HR support across other sites or operational areas as required
  • Support delivery of the People agenda, focusing on culture change, talent and process improvement
  • Build relationships with site teams and Trade Union
  • Maintain current knowledge of employment legislation and employee relations issues to ensure compliance and mitigate risk
  • Lead complex employee relations issues
  • Manage absence, including recommendations, coaching and support for managers, Occupational Health liaison, and health review meetings
  • Promote employee engagement and health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Assist in designing and delivering HR best-practice development workshops

Requirements

  • Ideally qualification of CIPD Level 3 or working towards with a good understanding of employment law
  • Experience undertaking a broad range of HR tasks
  • Experience working with and advising line managers on employee relations issues
  • Experience involved in setting up processes and systems
  • Strong communication and relationship-building capabilities across all levels of the business
  • Strong systems skills, including HRIS and Microsoft Office such as Word and Excel
  • Experience working with Trade Unions desirable
