- Lead complex software engineering projects spanning emerging technologies
- Identify opportunities to use technology to improve business efficiency and capabilities
- Collaborate with engineers while providing technical guidance and mentorship
- Oversee complex analysis, design, debugging, configuration, and development
- Research and apply current industry trends and techniques to solve software engineering problems
- Advocate for technology improvements and better business outcomes
- Lead high-visibility business initiatives and shape project scope
- Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure solutions
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes
- Monitor system performance and reliability, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements and implement best practices
- Stay current with cloud computing and DevOps trends, technologies, and practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Strong programming/development experience
- Considerable experience as a DevOps Engineer
- Strong proficiency in AWS cloud technologies, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, SNS, and SQS
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Amazon EKS
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
- Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Excellent delivery skills, including software design strategy, automated testing, analysis, feedback loops, production readiness, and monitoring
- Demonstrated domain expertise and ability to align solutions with business objectives and industry trends
- Excellent communication skills and ability to develop business partnerships and document initiatives clearly
- Strong leadership skills and ability to influence and motivate team members
- AWS certification is a plus
- Ability to commute to the Redhill office three days per week
