- Conduct sampling, field testing, and specimen preparation of concrete, asphalt, and aggregate products
- Carry out testing activities in accordance with relevant British and European standards and company procedures
- Support investigations into product quality concerns and site-related issues
- Work with operations and technical teams to identify and implement improvements
- Assist with concrete, asphalt, and aggregate testing programmes
- Undertake preliminary investigations at plants and customer sites
- Review product consistency, water demand, site practices, and delivery processes
- Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Near Hit reports where appropriate
- Support the transportation and management of test specimens
- Provide technical support to operational teams, commercial colleagues, and customers
- Challenge unsafe behaviours and promote a strong safety and quality culture
- Contribute to the effective and cost-efficient manufacture of products across the business
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 4 (or equivalent Grade C) in GCSE Maths and English
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a wider team
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
