- Join the newly created Proactive Screens Team, helping shape the future of inlet screen maintenance across Anglian Water
- Improve the reliability, safety and performance of critical Water Recycling assets
- Work across treatment works and pumping stations
- Lead by example, provide technical expertise and support the development of technicians within the team
- Work on specialist mechanical equipment and influence maintenance standards
- Help establish a proactive approach to asset reliability across the region
- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities
- Proactively manage workloads and help control maintenance backlogs across the asset base
- Work with suppliers, manufacturers and specialist contractors
- Support the development of spares strategies and improve parts availability
- Build working relationships that drive reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement
- Develop, encourage and foster good and safe working practices in accordance with Company safety rules
- Manage available resources to deliver maintenance work within agreed service levels
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure actions are achieved on service completion
- Drive continuous improvement through implementation of new ideas and equipment
- Provide expert support to monitor and coach field resources in techniques and equipment used for service and maintenance of treatment processes and assets
- Report directly to the Proactive Screens Manager
Requirements
- Full driving licence
- Strong Mechanical/Electrical/Engineering background, possessing the necessary NVQ/C&G Level 3 qualifications in that field (Essential)
- Experience and awareness of Health and Safety within an operational environment
- Ability to adapt communication style, both written and verbal, to suit a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Customer service skills and ability to deal with customers in an empathetic and professional manner
- Knowledge or understanding of inlet screens and a basic understanding of water recycling processes would be beneficial
- Experience with coaching and mentoring team members
- Ability to work within a confined space and at height without restrictions
- Maximum weight not in excess of 113 kilograms due to harness weight limits
- Expected to complete relevant occupational health checks including Hand-arm Vibration (HAV)
