People Business Partner – UK, 12-Month FTC, Maternity Cover

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on people strategy, organisational design, and workforce planning
  • Partner with Technology and Product leaders during organisational change, including team structures, role changes, reskilling, and change communication
  • Guide managers through the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding
  • Coach managers on performance management, talent development, feedback, and career conversations
  • Oversee biannual performance review cycles and deliver tailored manager training
  • Manage the Peakon engagement survey programme end-to-end, including survey cycles, analysis, follow-up actions, and deep-dive reviews
  • Stay aligned with DEI, Health & Wellbeing, and Culture Champs programmes
  • Act as the primary UK HR contact and support employee-relations casework, including performance, disciplinary processes, workplace adjustments, and sensitive matters
  • Provide UK employment law expertise to the wider People team
  • Improve HR data usage and reporting to generate stakeholder insights
  • Help organise Leadership Days and AI impact workshops
  • Support transformation in Technology and Product
  • Advise on compensation, salary reviews, bonuses, and benefits
  • Partner with People, Finance, and other teams to streamline processes and improve employee experience
  • Report to the Head of People and collaborate with the international People team

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience as an HR professional, including solid experience as a People Business Partner
  • Ideally gained in a scale-up or fast-paced Tech/SaaS environment
  • Demonstrated success in performance management, employee engagement, learning and development, and offboarding
  • Some experience supporting organisational change is a plus
  • Comfortable using HR data to inform decisions and stakeholder conversations
  • Experience working in an international context
  • Working knowledge of UK employment practices
  • Comfortable as the sole HR presence in a location and as a generalist point of contact
  • Able to work autonomously and take responsibility
  • Willingness to travel to Belgium roughly once a quarter
  • Available for a 12-month assignment starting early January 2027 through end of January 2028

  • Ability to deliver cross-functional HR projects autonomously with limited local support

  • Comfortable using AI tools day-to-day and experimenting with AI workflows
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, adaptable, discreet, and able to build trust quickly
