- Provide technical assurance and review Rail Systems M&E designs for compliance with client requirements, railway standards and industry best practice
- Lead engineering and technical delivery of complex rail systems projects from concept through construction and commissioning
- Challenge and improve design and contractor proposals to deliver safe, efficient and value-driven solutions
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities across signalling, power, communications, M&E and systems integration disciplines
- Manage technical interfaces and integrate multiple work packages and project stakeholders
- Support engineering reviews, technical approvals and assurance processes
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, suppliers and regulatory bodies
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation and technical excellence across rail systems project delivery
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience delivering complex Rail Systems and M&E projects within the rail infrastructure sector
- Strong understanding of systems integration and multidisciplinary project delivery
- Knowledge of Network Rail standards, railway assurance processes and relevant UK regulations
- Experience managing technical interfaces across signalling, communications, power and M&E disciplines
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills
- Membership of a relevant professional institution such as IET, IRSE, IMechE or ICE, or working towards professional registration
- Proactive and collaborative approach with a commitment to innovation, safety and engineering excellence
- May require relevant security clearance
- May require proof of residency in the UK for 5 years or longer
