Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver an HR strategy aligned with ISEAL’s organisational strategy
  • Advise on and implement resource and overhead planning with the Leadership Team
  • Shape, improve and communicate HR policies, procedures and processes
  • Ensure employment compliance across seven jurisdictions
  • Champion organisational culture, wellbeing and an inclusive employee experience
  • Advise directors and the leadership team on progressive HR practices
  • Support employee matters and equip line managers to handle HR situations
  • Coordinate an external HR consultant on recruitment and special projects
  • Maintain personnel and HR records in appropriate systems
  • Oversee workplace infrastructure, office services, facilities and resources
  • Act as the first point of contact for office-related staff issues
  • Lead internal communications, including staff meetings, newsletters and organisation-wide communications
  • Lead and develop two HR Coordinators
  • Manage HR and premises budgets
  • Build knowledge of organisational legal compliance
  • Undertake occasional international travel
  • Report to the Director, Finance & Operations

Requirements

  • Substantial generalist HR management experience combining strategic understanding with confident day-to-day people-operations delivery
  • Demonstrable experience developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with organisational priorities
  • Strong track record designing, reviewing and embedding accessible HR policies, procedures and processes
  • Proven experience managing diverse employee-relations matters with sound judgement, fairness, discretion and confidentiality
  • Current, practical knowledge of UK employment law
  • Excellent communication skills in person and in hybrid/remote environments
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and coach line managers at all levels
  • Experience working in a values-led culture supporting employee wellbeing, engagement and open dialogue
  • Commitment to EDI principles and experience implementing inclusive-workspace approaches
  • Varied experience with HRIS solutions; ideally experience implementing new systems
  • Experience working in an international setting covering multiple jurisdictions and employee locations
  • Proven people-management capability, including coaching, developing and empowering team members
  • Strong planning, prioritisation and budget-management skills
  • High integrity, initiative and resilience, with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach
  • Personal commitment to creating a more sustainable world
  • Applicants must provide evidence of entitlement to work in the UK
  • Desirable: oversight of international payrolls
  • Desirable: CIPD Level 5 qualification
