  • Advise sustainability leaders at leading companies on advancing their sustainability programs
  • Independently lead strategic engagements across target setting, decarbonization, environmental impact management, and voluntary and regulatory reporting
  • Develop practical sustainability strategies and build the business case for sustainability
  • Stay ahead of emerging frameworks, regulations, and market developments
  • Translate sustainability trends and regulatory changes into actionable guidance for customers and internal teams
  • Explore emerging sustainability needs across topics and industries
  • Prototype new products and services at the intersection of sustainability, advisory, and technology
  • Contribute to thought leadership, customer-facing materials, and internal enablement
  • Partner with the Product team to bring sustainability intelligence into the Watershed platform
  • Partner with the Go-to-Market team to strengthen Watershed's expertise, differentiation, and thought leadership

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • At least 4 years at a consulting firm in client-facing roles
  • At least 4 years working in sustainability
  • Deep expertise in corporate decarbonization
  • Familiarity with the GHG Protocol, PCAF, SBTi, ISO standards, CSRD, LSRS, CCDAA, ASRS, ISSB, and CDP
  • Ability to think clearly about complex problems and work confidently with data
  • Systematic and detail-oriented approach
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present complex analyses and recommendations to C-suite audiences
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Track record of driving strategic initiatives in complex organizations
  • Ability to influence decision-making while managing multiple internal and external stakeholders across organizational levels
  • Strong interest in solving climate change
  • Fluency in multiple languages, such as English, Spanish, French, or German, is nice to have
  • Must be willing to work from an office 4 days per week except for remote roles
