Responsibilities
- Lead the visual direction and execution of integrated 360° campaigns across paid, owned and earned channels.
- Create and inspire industry-leading creative that balances artistry with strategic thinking, leveraging consumer insights, data and performance metrics to inform creative decisions.
- Own the art direction process from concept development through shoot execution, post production and final delivery.
- Lead creative on photography and film shoots, directing models, photographers, stylists, glam teams and production partners to deliver premium luxury content.
- Collaborate with Creative Directors and the Head of Art Direction on hero campaign development while independently leading Always On campaigns and key business initiatives.
- Drive innovation across creative production by integrating Generative AI tools into concept development, visual exploration, mood boarding, storyboarding, creative iteration and content workflows where appropriate.
- Evaluate emerging AI creative technologies and establish best practices that enhance creativity while maintaining Charlotte Tilbury's luxury brand standards.
- Partner closely with Digital, Marketing, PR, Social, CRM, NPD and Retail teams to deliver cohesive brand storytelling across every customer touchpoint.
- Work alongside Copy, Production, Retouching, Colour, Motion Graphics and Video teams to ensure flawless creative execution and exceptional craftsmanship.
- Collaborate with Strategy and Marketing teams to develop insightful creative responses to briefs that align with brand objectives and business goals.
- Partner with Product Development and Pro Artists to ensure deep product understanding informs all creative execution.
- Lead casting direction and ensure talent reflects campaign objectives, brand positioning and inclusive representation.
- Stay ahead of industry trends across beauty, fashion, photography, design, post production and AI-enabled creative production.
- Line manage and mentor a Junior Art Director, providing regular coaching, creative direction, performance management and career development.
- Support resource planning, workload prioritisation and creative quality across the team.
- Partner closely with the Head of Art Direction to evolve creative standards, processes and ways of working across the in-house agency.
- Deliver successful creative solutions and high-quality work consistently, on time and to the highest standard.
Requirements
- Significant experience operating at Senior Art Director level within luxury beauty, fashion or premium lifestyle brands.
- Extensive experience leading high-profile integrated campaigns from concept through execution.
- Exceptional portfolio demonstrating world-class visual storytelling across photography, film, digital and social platforms.
- Strong experience art directing still life and model photography, moving image and video production.
- Deep understanding of luxury brand aesthetics and premium creative execution.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, with an exceptional understanding of typography, composition, colour theory, lighting and visual storytelling.
- Strong understanding of video editing, colour grading and post production workflows.
- Excellent understanding of digital-first content creation across paid social, CRM, web, ecommerce and emerging platforms.
- Experience interpreting creative performance data and customer insights to optimise future campaigns.
- Strong understanding of creative production workflows from briefing through delivery across photography, film and digital.
- Demonstrable experience using Generative AI creative tools as part of the creative process.
- Experience incorporating AI into concept development, ideation, mood boards, visual exploration, storyboarding, creative production and workflow optimisation.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use, copyright considerations, image authenticity and maintaining premium luxury brand standards.
- Passion for emerging creative technologies with the ability to identify opportunities that enhance creativity while preserving craftsmanship and brand integrity.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary creative teams and developing junior creatives.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills with the ability to confidently articulate creative vision to senior stakeholders.
