  • Take technical ownership of assigned security projects from mobilisation through commissioning, testing, and handover
  • Review and interpret project designs, specifications, and scopes of work, resolving technical queries with designers and clients
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise the installation and commissioning activities of engineers and subcontractors on site
  • Ensure works comply with company installation standards, manufacturer requirements, and relevant industry standards
  • Commission and configure CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarm, and Integrated Security Systems
  • Lead fault diagnosis and resolution
  • Support Project and Programme Managers with programme, resource, and materials planning
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, including installation records, test sheets, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals
  • Act as a technical point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams
  • Prepare/review RAMS, enforce site rules, and promote safe working practices
  • Carry out quality inspections and snagging before handover
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to Security Engineers and Trainee Engineers
  • Manage tools, test equipment, and company property, ensuring maintenance and calibration
  • Travel to customer sites to support delivery and resolve technical issues
  • Develop technical knowledge and improve installation processes and best practice

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the installation and commissioning of electronic security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarm, or Integrated Security)
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and relevant industry standards
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
  • Experience coordinating engineers and/or subcontractors on site
  • Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and commissioning skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and colleagues
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to work at customer sites and travel as required
  • SC Clearance or agreement to be screened to this level
  • Relevant qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Engineering, or Technical Studies (desirable)
  • Manufacturer/product accreditations (e.g. Genetec, Lenel, Gallagher, Milestone, or similar) (desirable)
  • ECS Card or willingness to obtain one (desirable)
  • Experience delivering projects within a regulated or high-security environment (desirable)
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and codes of practice (e.g. BS EN, NSI/SSAIB) (desirable)
