- Deliver evidence-based early intervention support for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties
- Provide one-to-one and group interventions across schools
- Support parents and carers
- Help schools develop whole-school approaches to mental health and emotional wellbeing
- Work within a multidisciplinary Mental Health Support Team
- Promote positive mental health through consultation, training and psychoeducation in educational settings
- Contribute to developing new resources, programmes and approaches
- Manage a caseload and collaborate with professionals
Requirements
- Hold a Post-Graduate Diploma as an Education Mental Health Practitioner
- Must hold the specific Education Mental Health Practitioner qualification
- Experience working with children and young people
- Ability to build positive therapeutic relationships with children, families and school staff
- Knowledge of children and young people's mental health and mental health services
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals
- Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity required
- Evidence of an overseas police check required if lived or worked abroad
- Must disclose sponsorship requirements to work in the UK
