Overview
Lead and manage data products, including data pipelines, data warehouses and analytics tools, throughout their lifecycle from ideation to delivery.
Own end‑to‑end delivery planning for data products, including scope, milestones, dependencies, risks and issue management, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements, coordinating across business and technical teams to balance demand, capacity and delivery commitments, and define and communicate the product vision.
- Define acceptance criteria for user stories and perform regular testing to ensure data product quality and reliability meet the defined criteria.
- Provide clear delivery reporting to stakeholders, including progress, risks, decisions and escalations where required; act as a bridge between technical and non‑technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project progress.
- Maintain and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring that user stories and tasks are well defined, estimated and ready for development.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance data product development and delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Product Owner or Delivery Lead in a data‑focused environment; experience in insurance or other regulated environments is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of data engineering, data warehousing and analytics concepts.
- Experience in risk and dependency management alongside stakeholder reporting; able to translate business requirements into technical solutions and discuss at both technical and non‑technical levels.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, SQL and Power BI.
