  • Identify and develop business opportunities from project initiation and development through contract closure
  • Achieve and exceed defined sales targets
  • Lead tender processes and communicate bid strategy within the organisation
  • Coordinate offer preparation and lead bid teams
  • Provide strategic, commercial, and contractual input and ensure commercial and risk-management governance
  • Lead contract negotiations and coordinate offer clarifications
  • Facilitate client communication and build long-term customer relationships
  • Develop detailed knowledge of the market, clients, competitors, and stakeholders
  • Assess and prioritise the opportunities portfolio with the Regional Business Director
  • Define sales goals and develop a deliverable business strategy

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant business or engineering discipline
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a project and/or solution sales environment
  • Working experience or good understanding of the dynamics of the power transmission infrastructure business
  • Familiarity with the cables industry would be beneficial
  • Positive background and aptitude dealing with complex and high value turnkey/EPC bids
  • Strong business acumen and experience developing relations with customers
  • Problem-solving attitude and target-oriented mentality that recognises and manages identified risks
  • Team-oriented, able to network and share competences, ideas, and information with the wider team
  • Interest in learning and taking responsibility for business development
  • Comfortable interacting with all organisational levels internally and externally, including senior management
  • Good communication skills and ability to act as the company interface with customers and third parties
  • Comfortable speaking publicly with wider audiences
  • Ability to set and handle priorities effectively within a deadline-driven environment
  • Technically apt for participation in high-level engineering discussions with customers
  • Competence in contractual texts; knowledge of industry-standard conditions ideally
  • Willingness to travel predominantly within the UK and across Europe, including visits to clients and stakeholders, seminars, and company meetings in Italy
