- Support preparation and delivery of the Group’s quarterly and annual statutory reporting
- Source, analyse, and validate financial data for accurate and timely submissions
- Work with external auditors during statutory and regulatory assurance engagements
- Provide information, resolve queries, and support an efficient audit process
- Enhance reporting processes, controls, governance, and accounting procedures
- Support technical accounting and statutory reporting activities
- Prepare narrative reporting, including the Strategic Report, Audit Committee papers, and Board papers
- Contribute to accounting judgements and statutory reporting Group Governance requirements
- Work closely with the finance manager to produce the Q3 result and prepare year-end reporting while a new finance system is embedded
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Aptitude for interpreting and applying accounting requirements and best practice
- Skilled communicator capable of interpreting and explaining complex information to stakeholders
- Experienced and disciplined user of Microsoft Excel
- Financial Services experience
- Understanding of IFRS
- Insurance experience is a standout qualification
- IFRS 17 knowledge is a standout qualification
