Responsibilities
- Leading and managing Older Peopleβs Social Work teams across Fife
- Providing professional leadership and line management to Team Managers
- Driving performance, quality standards and continuous improvement
- Leading service redesign and development in response to identified needs
- Managing change in partnership with staff, service users, trade unions and key stakeholders
- Working collaboratively with partners to deliver integrated services
- Ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory and governance requirements
- Managing resources, including staffing and budgets, to deliver efficient services
- Representing the Council and Partnership at internal and external forums
Requirements
- Managerial experience within a Social Work setting.
- Experience of service and resource management.
- A relevant Social Work qualification.
- Proven leadership and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to manage complex and competing demands.
- Experience of leading and managing professional teams.
- Evidence of supporting staff development.
- Strong partnership working experience.
- Experience of leading change and service development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills.
- Financial and budget management experience.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation and statutory requirements.
- Understanding of Health & Safety responsibilities
