- Create high-quality content for reports, presentations, the intranet, GOV.UK, colleague communications and other corporate publications
- Take broad or developing briefs, identify the underlying communication need and recommend an effective, proportionate creative approach
- Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders
- Provide confident professional advice and constructively challenge ideas when another solution better meets audience needs
- Manage competing priorities and work independently
- Translate briefs into strong creative solutions quickly, combining pace with accuracy, accessibility and attention to detail
- Support internal communications and wider organisational priorities through practical, high-quality multimedia content
- Present one selected portfolio project during interview, explaining the brief, personal contribution, creative and accessibility decisions, and outcome
Requirements
- Experienced Multimedia Designer
- Working proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, or equivalent design programmes
- Proficiency in O365 products including designing in Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with video editing software
- Highly skilled written and verbal communications
- Ability to use storytelling and visual techniques to explain complicated things simply
- Highly developed organisational, time and project management skills
- Ability to coordinate content creation and sign off
- Ability to produce high-quality work at pace with little requirement for supervision
- Demonstrable experience of graphic design, motion graphics, typography and multimedia design for on and offline channels
- Experience of print requirements and deadlines using brand guidelines
- Degree, relevant qualification or comparable experience in creative communications
- Portfolio or examples of relevant work across different multimedia formats
- Right to work in the UK
- Successful completion of employment history, criminal record, credit reference and fraud checks
