Query, extract, and correlate data across digital channel telemetry, card fraud alerts, case management records, core banking data, and online banking data
Identify fraud patterns, emerging typologies, and detection gaps
Build the evidence base for new and tuned detection rules
Deliver rule recommendations with measured impact on false positives and detection rates
Design and build dashboards, views, and management reporting on rule performance, alert outcomes, and fraud losses
Take a central role in the Microsoft Fabric data lake programme
Design and build the fraud analytics layer on Microsoft Fabric
Mentor and upskill the bank's analyst team through knowledge transfer and pairing arrangements
Support post-incident and thematic reviews with data deep-dives
Work alongside L1/L2 analysts and the senior fraud investigator

Requirements

  • Consultant-level experience in fraud or financial crime data analytics, typically 5+ years, within banking, payments or fintech
  • Seniority to own the analytics agenda and advise, not just execute
  • Strong Python and strong SQL; both essential and tested at screening
  • Quantified track record of losses reduced, false positives cut, or detection improved
  • Experience building operational dashboards and management reporting using Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent
  • Experience with fraud platform data structures is advantageous but not required
  • Ability to interrogate unfamiliar systems' output
  • Behavioural biometrics or card fraud platform exposure is a plus
  • AML-blended analytics backgrounds welcome where data depth is genuine and fraud typology knowledge is sound
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure, Fabric, Databricks, or similar is a strong plus
  • Clear English and credibility to present analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Confirmed availability for immediate start
  • Genuine willingness and ability to be onsite in Kuwait City from Month 3 to Month 6
  • Passport with 12+ months' validity required
