Overview
Report to the Team Leader.
Responsible for the preparation, maintenance and operation of the diverse range of Uncrewed Systems assets for Test & Evaluation trials.
Involved with scheduled and routine maintenance of the Uncrewed Systems within the scope of the approved data and manuals.
Include operating the Uncrewed Systems which the individual is trained and competent on.
Building, functional testing, repairing and the disassembly of Uncrewed Systems and associated payloads in accordance with approved data.
Operating and maintaining Uncrewed Systems during trials.
Problem solving and fault diagnosis on Uncrewed Systems and associated equipment.
Ensuring that every effort is made to achieve the Customer target requirements.
Applying all standards required by the relevant Air Publications, OEM Manuals, Qineti Q Operating Framework and CAA Regulatory Publications.

- Operate the Uncrewed Systems on which the individual is trained and competent
- Build, functional test, repair and disassemble Uncrewed Systems and associated payloads in accordance with approved data
- Operate and maintain Uncrewed Systems during trials
- Problem solve and diagnose faults on Uncrewed Systems and related equipment
- Ensure that every effort is made to achieve the Customer target requirements
- Apply all standards required by the relevant Air Publications, OEM Manuals, Qineti Q Operating Framework and CAA Regulatory Publications
Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience in a regulated, safety-focused environment working on Uncrewed Systems
- UAS flying experience
- Experience and knowledge of a variety of Uncrewed Systems technologies and types
- Demonstrable high level of IT competence including the ability to learn new systems
- Experience using Online Manuals and maintenance recording solutions
- Possession of CAA Remote Piloting qualifications (Highly desirable)
- Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical) or completion of a relevant engineering apprenticeship
- Professional registration as an Eng Tech (or progression towards Eng Tech)
- Full UK Driving Licence
