Act as a trusted People Partner to Customer Services and Operations, Fraud and Payments, and Corporate Affairs
Build strong relationships with frontline managers and senior leaders
Identify people risks early and advocate for appropriate solutions
Coach and support managers through performance management, absence and restructure processes
Own employee relations cases end to end, including disciplinary and grievance investigations, performance improvement plans, redundancy and restructure processes, and complex absence management
Provide commercially pragmatic employee relations advice while balancing legal compliance with practical outcomes
Keep knowledge of UK employment law up to date
Lead people projects from scoping through delivery with measurable outcomes
Represent the People team in cross-functional forums and leadership conversations
Use data and insight to influence decisions and guide leaders toward sound people outcomes
Collaborate with the wider People team and stakeholders across the organisation
Requirements Substantial experience independently managing a wide range of employee relations cases end to end
Experience handling complex disciplinary, grievance, absence and redundancy situations
Track record of coaching and building confidence in managers at all levels
Commercial mindset focused on outcomes for the business and its people
Experience taking a people initiative from concept to completion
Ability to manage own workload and deliver measurable outcomes
Ability to build credible relationships across levels and functions
Ability to influence effectively without direct authority
Experience thriving in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment, ideally within tech, e-commerce or a similarly dynamic sector
CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience would be helpful
Exposure to organisational design or experience working alongside operational teams such as Customer Services may be beneficial
Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law
