  • Overview
  • Jointly lead and manage all aspects of the company's operations, with primary responsibility for EPC, project execution, construction delivery, and operational performance across renewable energy projects (wind & solar).
  • Oversee the project lifecycle from engineering and procurement through construction, commissioning, and handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Strategically develop and execute the company's business plans to meet the targets set by the Board, shareholders, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee all execution-related functions including project management, construction management, engineering coordination, supply chain, procurement, and QHSE.
  • Take key decisions on operational matters including resource planning, delivery strategy, project risk mitigation, health and safety, compliance, and execution performance.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, balancing commercial and technical priorities, with a focus on efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate closely with the co-Managing Director to align project execution with commercial strategy, business development, and market expansion objectives.
  • Lead business development efforts by fostering relationships with potential clients, contract negotiations, and overseeing the development of new projects.
  • Develop and manage budgets for both the company and individual projects, ensuring financial targets and delivery KPIs are met and exceeded where possible.
  • Promote proactive risk management, identifying potential risks to project timelines, costs, and company reputation, and taking proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and legal guidelines, both for internal processes and external operations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of the renewable energy sector by seeking and implementing best practices.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams, including recruitment, training, and development, to meet the company's growing demands and achieve business goals.
  • Collaborate with the global network within the company, working closely with international peers across APAC, EMEA, and America to drive growth in the global renewable energy market.
  • Represent the company in external forums such as exhibitions, trade fairs, and industry events to enhance brand visibility and partnerships.
  • Provide strategic insights and advice to the Board, preparing reports and decision memos regarding market trends, delivery performance, project developments, and business opportunities.
  • Take full responsibility for QHSE, ensuring robust health and safety systems are implemented for employees and stakeholders, while proactively mitigating risks associated with renewable energy projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of senior management experience as Managing Director, Country Manager, or Head of a large team
  • At least 10 years of proven experience in the UK energy market, with a strong track record in renewable energy delivery (wind and solar)
  • Educational Qualifications: University degree in a technical, economic, engineering or environmental discipline
  • Strong understanding of the UK wind and solar (PV) market, including trends, challenges, and opportunities
  • Proven experience in managing renewable energy projects in wind and solar energy, with particular experience in overseeing delivery/construction
  • Strong understanding of construction execution, contractor management, supply chain strategy, procurement, scheduling, and project controls
  • Proven ability to deliver complex infrastructure projects safely, efficiently, and profitably
  • Ability to create and implement business strategies to meet the company's financial and strategic targets, driving growth and innovation
  • Solid understanding of financial performance metrics and budget management, particularly within renewable energy projects
  • Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, ensuring robust QHSE standards and health and safety compliance to secure project success and business continuity
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and international teams
  • Understanding of digital tools and the ability to drive digital transformation to support business operations and enhance efficiency
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and adaptable to changing market conditions, viewing disruption as an opportunity to innovate and reimagine business processes
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) and the ability to manage cross-cultural teams and collaborate with international colleagues effectively.
