- Manage a Scrum team developing Payments software products using agile methodologies
- Grow the team's skills and capabilities
- Ensure high-quality output from developers and QA professionals
- Help the team achieve delivery commitments through hands‑on contributions when needed
- Ensure adherence to the Software Development process and work with the Software Development Manager to refine and improve it
- Run the Agile/Scrum process for the team
- Provide stakeholder and progress reporting
- Identify and mitigate risks within the area of responsibility, escalating risks, issues, and challenges when appropriate
- Acquire comprehensive domain knowledge of the products and business
- Line manage team members, conduct appraisals, and set individual objectives
- Work with the Tech Lead to ensure coding standards and consistent design patterns are followed
- Ensure new development follows well‑considered technical designs
- Coach the team and help them follow the Scrum process
- Work on new features and enhancements, re‑architecting, defect fixes, and porting legacy code to new technologies
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience managing a team in an Agile/Scrum development environment
- People Management, delegation, 121’s, goal setting
- Scrum Master experience preferred
- SDLC - Requirements Gathering, Software Design, Development and QA Testing, CI/CD pipelines
- Stakeholder Reporting
- Risk Management
- Strong background in software development as either an engineer or QA at a senior level
- A background in building web applications and services using the Microsoft .Net platform
- Knowledge of DevOps – continuous integration, deployment, DORA metrics
- Experience working in a Product‑led development environment
- Experience of product discovery methods
- Experience in the EdTech industry
