Responsibilities

  • Managing communications strategy to re-engage customers in arrears.
  • Utilising multiple communication channels (email, SMS, push notifications, dialler).
  • Utilising internal data, external data and models to segment customers into groups and design treatment strategies.
  • Proactively identifying signs of financial difficulty and engaging customers prior to arrears to reduce missed payments.
  • Identifying opportunities to use additional third-party data sources to aid collections strategies.
  • Coordinating with third parties that supply communication channels.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years' experience in commercial, portfolio, or collections management within consumer credit, preferably credit cards.
  • Strong knowledge of FCA consumer credit regulation, including responsible lending, collections, and debt sale practices.
  • Strong strategic thinker.
  • Proven expertise in pricing, credit line management, collections strategy, and debt portfolio sales.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including financial modelling and credit risk assessment is beneficial.
  • Strong SQL skills - able to self-serve with their own data.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in fintech or fast-growing financial services preferred.
