- Lead product delivery for secure AWS-based platforms in government transformation programmes
- Shape product roadmaps balancing compliance, security, performance, and user experience
- Establish and lead Appvia’s product management strategy
- Define and own product vision and roadmap for secure AWS-based platform products
- Align product delivery with business objectives, government standards, and compliance frameworks
- Drive backlog prioritisation across feature delivery, security requirements, and operational excellence
- Act as product voice with government stakeholders
- Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and demos with end-users, security officers, and senior decision-makers
- Collaborate with platform engineers, architects, and security specialists to translate requirements into deliverables
- Support definition and rollout of outcome-focused SOWs
- Ensure clear responsibility boundaries between platform-focused product teams
- Ensure delivery aligns with DevSecOps best practices, including automation, IaC, and continuous assurance
- Define and monitor KPIs/OKRs covering adoption, performance, cost optimisation, and compliance
- Report progress, risks, and measurable outcomes to government stakeholders
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager / Platform Product Owner in secure, complex environments
- Strong AWS knowledge, including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and CloudFront
- Understanding of platform engineering concepts
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform and CloudFormation
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps toolchains
- Experience with containerisation and Kubernetes
- Experience with secure multi‑tenanted environments / landing zones
- Experience working with UK government programmes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Must hold active SC clearance or be eligible for SC
- Eligibility requires a British Passport or ILR, residence in the UK for at least the last 5 years, no criminal records, and no financial irregularities
- Multi-cloud exposure to Azure or GCP is desirable
- Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimisation is desirable
- Hands‑on software development or platform engineering background is desirable
- Agile delivery at scale experience is desirable
- Relevant expert/professional-level cloud certification is highly desirable, e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Professional
- Kubernetes administration certification is desirable, e.g. CKA or CKSS
