- Support a wide range of residential property work, including completion of initial contract packs and drafting sale contracts
- Submit Stamp Duty Land Tax returns
- Make Land Registry applications for residential property clients
- Handle post-completion work, including Stamp Duty Land Tax payments, registration, mortgage discharge, estate agent fees, relevant notices, indemnity policies and scheduling of deeds
- Attend client meetings
- Handle legal reporting work
- Respond to progress enquiries from clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, financial advisers and colleagues in other departments
Requirements
- Experience in a similar Paralegal position
- Previous Paralegal experience within a busy conveyancing department
- Experience working on complex conveyancing matters
- Ability to work independently
- Proven experience working towards financial targets
- Positive and friendly manner when dealing with clients, referrers and colleagues
- Ability to manage workload and request additional input when needed
- Ability to provide excellent client service
- High degree of initiative and ability to cope in a demanding environment
- Excellent organisational and prioritising skills
- Ability to work in a busy team
- Excellent communication skills
