- Form and maintain effective working relationships with designated Partners, providing guidance and advice on the full range of HR activities
- Provide training on understanding and implementing policies and procedures where necessary
- Advise and guide staff at all levels on individual employee relations cases
- Record, analyse and report on data within relevant Partner units
- Advise on grievance, disciplinary and capability investigations and hearings
- Administer new starter and leaver processes, including exit interviews where required
- Manage maternity and paternity leave in accordance with policies
- Update and maintain HR Information System records and assist with regular management information
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR systems and practices
- Keep up to date with legal developments and proposed changes
- Assist with or lead HR projects and development programmes designated by the Head of HR
- Assist with payroll administration and maintenance of employee records
Requirements
- Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)
- Preferred minimum Level 5 CIPD Qualification
- Fully conversant and up-to-date with all aspects of employment law and HR best practice
- Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, email and the internet
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven generalist experienceAbility to work autonomously and flexibly
- Pro-active and self-motivated
- Ability to deal with challenging individuals
